By downloading, installing, or using the OltreChef mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

OltreChef is a mobile application that helps users receive recipe suggestions based on available ingredients, track cooking history, and plan meals.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You may create an account using Google Sign-In

  • You must provide accurate and complete information

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

3.2 Account Responsibility

​

  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. User Conduct

​

You agree not to use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, violate any laws, infringe on others' rights, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer the App, use automated systems to access the App, or share your account.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Rights

The App and its content are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

5.2 Your Content

​

You retain ownership of photos and content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a license to use it to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to any content you upload.

6. API and Service Usage

6.1 Fair Use Policy
​

  • Free tier users have limited recipe generations and AI chat messages per day

  • Premium users benefit from generous usage limits subject to a fair use cap

  • We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access for accounts that exceed reasonable usage thresholds

  • Automated, scripted, or bulk usage of AI features is not permitted

6.2 Third-Party Services
​

By using the App, you also agree to the applicable terms of Google Firebase, AI and machine learning APIs, and external recipe sources linked within the App. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of any third-party service.

7. Recipe Content

Recipes may be generated by AI or sourced from external websites. While we strive for accuracy, recipe information may contain errors. Always follow proper food safety practices. We do not claim ownership of recipes from external sources.

8. Health & Safety Disclaimers

Recipe suggestions generated by this App are produced by artificial intelligence and are intended for general informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional nutritional, dietary, or medical advice.

  • Always verify ingredients for allergies and dietary restrictions before preparing or consuming any recipe.

  • If you have a known food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary requirement, consult a qualified healthcare professional before following any recipe suggestion.

  • We are not responsible for any adverse health or allergic reactions arising from recipe suggestions.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

  • THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

  • We are not responsible for any health, safety, or dietary issues arising from recipe suggestions

  • TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App or manage your subscription through your app store account settings at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, and may discontinue the App at any time with reasonable notice.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

​

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.
